Overview
Big Tune is a community music-identification service. This policy explains what information we process when you use bigtune.id or the Big Tune mobile app, why we process it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, display name, authentication records, profile image, biography and website.
- Community content: posts, suggestions, votes, follows, reports, moderation records and the timestamps associated with them.
- Media: audio or video files you upload, including microphone recordings you choose to save or submit.
- Technical information: IP address, device/browser information, diagnostic logs and security events generated when the service is used.
- Communications: access requests, support messages and copyright or safety reports.
How we use information
We use this information to provide authentication, publish and identify submitted tracks, operate community features, send requested notifications, detect abuse, moderate content, secure the service, diagnose failures and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
We use trusted service providers for account management, database services, hosting, media storage and optional audio identification. They process information only as necessary to operate Big Tune and provide these services.
When you submit a music link or request identification, relevant link, audio or public metadata may be processed by media and music-metadata services.
Visibility
Profiles, posts, suggestions, points and other community activity are normally public. Do not submit personal or confidential information that you do not want others to see. Safety reports and private moderator notes are not public.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and community information while your account is active and as needed to operate and protect the service. Unsubmitted uploads are deleted by a recurring cleanup after a safety window. You can delete individual posts or delete your account from Settings. Account deletion removes associated stored media before deleting the account, subject to limited provider backups, fraud-prevention records and legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
You may update your profile, unfollow content, block users, delete posts and delete your account in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, portability, restriction or deletion of personal information.
Children
Big Tune is not directed to children under 13, and users must be old enough to consent to use an online service in their country. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own using their applicable safeguards.
